Author Guidelines
  • The authors will fill in the form on the website and submit. Once submitted, they will be provided with a unique ID which will be the ID when the cases are published in HBR.
  • Submitted cases will be reviewed by the IIM Coordinator of the project and a relevant Mentor and Co-Author from IIMB will be provided.
  • The lead author of the case will have to be an IBA faculty member.
  • The Co-Authors can be chosen from faculties in reputed and relevant Universities abroad and also doctoral or research students at IBA. However, in the case of a research student of IBA, the affiliation will have to be IBA, Dhaka University.
  • The lead author is responsible for providing a consent of having no conflict of interest with the company/organization the case is being written on. (For instance, the authors should not have any financial obligations with the company, or be part of the BOD, or protagonist)
  • The lead author will provide a statement declaring that there will be no financial or non-financial benefits taken from the companies for writing cases for MACC. (This is to ensure that there is no bias from the authors’ side while writing the case)
  • The lead author will submit the consent form from the company before proceeding with the case. Once the case is ready to be submitted to HBR, the authors might need another consent form. In such cases, MACC will follow up.
  • To ensure smooth communication and coordination, request all authors to keep MACC email address admin@macc.iba-du.edu or macc@iba-du.edu copied in every official communication with IIMB/ Harvard Business School Publishing.
  • If the authors are using research associates to collect information or support in data analysis, they need to get all research associates registered in MACC and get the Non-Disclosure Form (NDA) signed by them.
  • All interested case writers are requested to submit a small concept note of the case in the following information

    The following terms and conditions apply to the author(s) registering the Expression of Interest (EOI) of writing a case for IBA-MACC:

    • By submitting this form, I hereby declare that I do not have any personal/professional/organizational conflict of interest with the company chosen to write on that might inappropriately influence or bias my actions, decisions, or presentations in relation to this [project/publication/research].
    • IBA-MACC is not responsible for the opinions expressed in the writing by the author(s).
    • IBA-MACC does not ensure the publication of the case written by the author(s). The cases will go through proper review process and necessary due diligence to be able to publish.
    • Once the case is accepted for publication, the publishing terms and conditions will be provided as and when deemed necessary.
    Agreement to Terms and Conditions
    IBA-MACC reserves the rights to amend/ edit/ add / or delete any terms and conditions to ensure the integrity, compliance and quality of the case writing process.

    After submitting the form, you will be redirected to the declaration form. Your submission will only be accepted upon completion of the declaration form.
